1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is wet-dry is fitted with the company's upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that offers better mapping and obstacles avoidance. The system is dual-laser LiDAR similar to the kind you'd find in self-driving cars and is able to scan up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, quicker response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also has an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub tough areas more effectively as opposed to traditional mopping. In my testing, the X2 Omni took just over an hour to wash its pad and begin work, and I noticed it was more precise than previous models that seemed to follow a grid path around rooms. It was able to navigate around corners and edges of my rooms, and also make "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products The X2 Omni is easy to set up and begin using. Simply snap the dock into place connect it to the power outlet and connect it to your home WiFi network. It takes just about a minute. Then, you can start the app and start with your first cleaning task. I was able to dig into the settings and customize my floor robot vacuum mops plan in about 15 minutes, which included creating specific areas to sweep and mop as well as reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and so on. The X2 Omni performed admirably during my tests. It scored highly in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and also had near-perfect results for crevices and edge cleaning.

The T10 Omni's biggest flaw is that it's unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in a single run. The T10 Omni has two modes that require you to attach mop heads to and from the vacuum in accordance with your needs. This is great for the majority of households, but not for those who lead busy lives.

The Deebot T10 is an excellent robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It removed more than 96% of the debris from our hardwood flooring. This is an excellent performance. It was a success on tiles and carpets and removed 99percent of dirt.

This robotic vacuum and mop has a large docking station that provides cool water cleaning for its mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L bag that is easy to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows for more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 features a wash tray built into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to wash and dry its mop pads while it is using them. It does not have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime can slowly build up on the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model made by Anker, which is known for its robot vacuums. It offers enhanced smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, as well as twin-turbine suction technology that automatically adjusts to the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robotic cleaner that's attractive, even if its promise of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't quite come true.

This high-tech model can remove pet hair, kibble, and other particles with impressive effectiveness. It can also move effortlessly around furniture legs. It has a feature set that is impressive, such as two cleaning modes and an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacles avoidance technology. It is Wi-Fi-enabled and is best controlled through the Neato app which allows cleaning to be scheduled and the overall maintenance needs are monitored. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes with large spaces that have a mix of hard and carpet flooring. However it will require some planning in advance to avoid getting caught on electrical cables, toys or other unexpected obstructions.

In our test of hardwood floors and kibble it performed well and was able to pick up everything from one grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in just one pass. It did have some issues with rugs however, generally, this vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that have both types of flooring as well as a mixture of pets.

It's not cheap but if you're able to afford it, it's an excellent buy for those who want to be able to leave their homes hands-free to go about other tasks or take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to tackle tough dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to define the boundaries of the robot.

This budget-friendly robot from a renowned new brand is the most affordable we've ever tested, and provides incredible value for money. Its navigation system is basic and uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less efficient than other models on this list. It's still able to get under furniture and into the corners. Its mopping mode performed very well in our tests by picking up hairs and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not appear as well-built, but it is better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning low-pile carpet and floor surfaces that are bare. It also uses smart-pathing navigational software for greater mobility. It can be positioned to a particular area and includes a variety of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It also allows you to suspend and restart cleaning sessions making it ideal for homes that have pets.

Its self cleaning brushroll prevents knots and holds up to 30 days of dirt. It also comes with an array of angled side brushes that go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system can capture dust, dander and allergens for a cleaner air.

The robot vacuum is built well and feels solid. It is compatible with an app for smartphones which lets you alter the vacuum settings and schedule cleaning sessions in advance. The app also lets you view the remaining battery life and receive push notifications about any issues it encounters during a cleaning process. You can utilize your voice to control the device using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device, and if you don't have either of those devices, you can mark zones with physical boundary strips.

The iQ excels in cleaning floors with no dirt, and does an adequate job with carpets that are sagging and low-pile. However it doesn't provide the same level of autonomy as our top choices. It's also expensive and its ongoing expenses can add up over time.
