Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions can be a great method to obtain weapons, equipment and more. They're not easy to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a unique slot that allows you to carry pistols into a mission. Some players use it to help them achieve certain achievements, particularly those who are aiming for Suit Only. Some prefer having the extra pistol as a gap closer. When using this slot, you need to remember that you will need to click the appropriate pistol category button, like the alternate slot 2 for machine guns, Slot Features to select the appropriate category. The presence of Major Expedition and Adept Rider active makes this much simpler. This combo also adds an attack tick from the concealed Weapon every 10 seconds as long as it is in the slot.

Smuggled Item Slot

The smuggled item slot is an excellent feature that allows players to bring tools and weapons, however it could be improved with a better opportunity. It's currently designed to resemble an a gun, which makes it difficult to differentiate the weapon slot that is smuggled from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slot is able to hold an array of items, ranging from small concussion devices, to weapons-grade explosives. These items are secretly stored in a hidden location on the map and can be retrieved at any time. The items that are smuggled are different from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that conceal small objects in the scenery, and objects directly.

Mission planning is a feature available in episodic missions. It allows players to discover different starting points as well as smuggled items and gear slots prior to entering the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning increase. This allows players the ability to create the perfect mission for every challenge.

Gear Slot

The slots for Rainbet gear will quickly get full early in the game, resulting in the common message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message prevents Max to pick new equipment until the old items are taken away or space is obtained. The solution is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for completing challenge missions. Because many of these challenges could be missed and are scattered around the globe, it could take some time to obtain the most slots for inventory in the game.

A player's five Gear Slots can be filled with up to five different types of gear. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a break-in begins. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) is a part of one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as a grouping of Grenades) only uses one Gear Slot.

Pickups by agencies

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations allow you to keep items that aren't suitable in your weapon or gear slot, and take them out later.

These pickups can be very useful when your task requires you to pass through a frisk or Rainbet you carry a weapon with you that could cause suspicion. However, you can only hide one item per game at a location that is a pickup for the agency.

This DLC adds new contracts to asset protection and security to the agency. To begin these missions, simply contact the agency receptionist and purchase armor and snacks. Then, walk to the designated marker and spot a group at the time of arrival.
